Transition and Taster Days

The process of transitioning from secondary school into adult services can often be a challenging and difficult period for both the young person and their families/carers. Here at FiND, we offer the opportunity to start this process early, enabling people to become familiar with a different environment and staff, providing the opportunity to decide if FiND is a place they would like to attend once they leave school.

Both FiND services are able to offer a small number of places for young people during the school holidays. If you chose to come to FiND, then you will be supported by some of our amazing staff, based on your individual needs, personality and interests ensuring that you have familiarity and the opportunity to really connect with the people who are supporting you.

Both the FiND2 and FiND3 services can offer holiday activities that offer stimulating and enjoyable experiences. These include spending time developing friendships, sensory stimulation, music, learning new skills or getting out and about to local attractions and experiences such as wildlife parks, museums and a variety of sport workshops. 

Once the young person is approaching the end of their secondary school experience, we can offer more regular and frequent transition days in close liaison with the school. This enables us to correctly support the young person to easily transition into our services.
