FiND

Personalised support at all times

We believe that our students should receive fully tailored support, as this way each individual is given the opportunity to access what they need to grow and thrive. This includes our students socialising on their own terms and having individual plans shaped around their wants, needs, hobbies and interests. Popular examples include working with computers, visiting places of interest, developing life skills, swimming, horse riding, dance workshops and much more. We also offer structured days for those who find this approach more calming and enjoyable.

FiND Hessle Day Service

Dignity is a cornerstone of FiND

Everyone who uses our Hessle Day Service is treated with respect and given the same opportunities for self-development and self-expression as anyone else. This enables them to live safe, healthy and happy lives as part of their local community, as well as develop and maintain valuable relationships with others.

There’s always something fun to do

FiND Hessle Day Service is based within a well-spaced building with a low number of individuals attending at any given time. This ensures that the environment remains calm and welcoming. The venue is designed so that it can host all kinds of social activities and simultaneously provide other spaces for individuals to enjoy some quiet time when they need it.

We also work hard to provide a wide range of days out by linking with multiple community organisations and local businesses. These include sensory-based experiences and day trips to all kinds of places, such as arts venues, garden centres, green spaces, and many other locations that will spark curiosity and bring our students joy.

Dedicated keyworkers

The FiND team is made up of dedicated keyworkers who are highly experienced and trained in supporting students with hard to help behaviours.

Support is offered in line with students’ needs at a level of either one member of staff to two students, one member of staff to one student, or two members of staff to one student. This adaptability and strong focus on personalisation reflects our dedication to never giving up on people and developing excellent relationships between our keyworkers and students.

My Plan

Every student is provided with a My Plan, which works to understand who our students really are, what they want to achieve in life, and how they want to do it.

We regularly review this plan to make sure we’re getting it right and involve people who matter most to our students, including carers, other agencies such as adult social care, CTLD and mental health services.

Thanks to this high level of personalisation and attention to detail, we help our students to live happy and meaningful lives.
